Finland\u2019s most popular soprano voice, Tarja Turunen, returns to Z7 with brand-new material. After two celebrated \u201cLiving The Dream\u201d greatest-hits shows, in which she revisited the highlights of her remarkable career, we are excited to welcome the iconic metal singer back in October with her brand-new album. <\/strong><\/p>\n Over the past three years, Tarja Turunen has been touring with her \u201cLiving The Dream\u201d greatest-hits shows \u2013 sometimes solo, sometimes alongside her former Nightwish bandmate Marko Hietala. In between, she appeared as a guest on \u201cRock Meets Classics\u201d and performed atmospheric Christmas concerts. Now, however, the time has come for the next chapter in her career. After seven long years, Tarja will release a new studio album in spring 2026. The major album-release tour will follow in autumn, bringing her and her new material to Z7 on October 9. <\/p>\n As a soprano, composer and songwriter \u2013 as well as co-founder, voice and face of Nightwish \u2013 Tarja Turunen played a defining role in shaping the symphonic metal genre for nine years. During that time, she received numerous gold and platinum awards and was crowned the genre\u2019s queen. After leaving the band, Tarja launched a successful solo career that has so far produced six metal albums, several classical works and multiple live releases. Her extraordinary talent has also led to remarkable collaborations, including performances with shock-rock legend Alice Cooper, symphonic metal peers Within Temptation, German electronic artist Schiller, metal queen Doro Pesch and the British \u201cFather of Tubular Bells\u201d Mike Oldfield. Yet the unique fusion of Tarja\u2019s classical roots and rock influences shines most brightly on her solo releases.
