METALCORE MANIA
In November, we present the heaviest metalcore package of 2026. Leading the relentless tour caravan are scene giants ERRA, who set another milestone in their successful career with their new album Silence Outlives The Earth. Supporting acts Currents, Caskets and Aviana will deliver multiple coregasms.
Founded in Birmingham, Alabama in 2009, ERRA have fully dedicated themselves to progressive metalcore. With their refined blend of heaviness, atmosphere and cosmic melancholy, they have been one of the most reliable names in the genre for years. Technical guitar work, atmospheric textures and the interplay between harsh screams and clean vocals define their sound. In summer 2025, ERRA offered a first glimpse of their seventh album with “Gore Of Being.” Just one week after its release, they followed up with the next single, “Echo Sonata,” giving further insight into the direction of the new material. Guitarist and vocalist Jesse Cash comments: “‘Echo Sonata’ feels like a return to form for the band. The song recalls the spirit of our 2016 album Drift – something we didn’t intend, but our friends immediately noticed when we played it for them. It represents the kind of melody and emotion we’re aiming for with the new album.” In January, the third single “Further Eden” followed, along with the announcement of Silence Outlives The Earth, set for release on March 6, 2026. “Further Eden” injects fresh energy into the band. Cash explains: “‘Further Eden’ started as a song by Clint Tustin, which we developed together in the studio. The pentatonic approach gives it a lighter energy than we usually use, and it feels like a fresh form of expression for the band.” The current ERRA line-up consists of Joseph Thomas Cavey (vocals), Jesse Cash (guitar, clean vocals), Alex Ballew (drums), Conor Hesse (bass) and Clint Tustin (guitar). With Silence Outlives The Earth, the band delivers an album that builds on their established strengths while placing even more emphasis on atmosphere and space. The sound remains technically refined, but the songs feel more open and, at times, more introspective. Rather than relying solely on sheer intensity, the record repeatedly creates room for melody and atmosphere. Another masterpiece for fans of modern metalcore with progressive influences.
CURRENTS: The metalcore/djent band Currents from Connecticut are known for their dark, atmospheric sound featuring heavy breakdowns, crushing riffs, djent guitars and melodic passages – often described as a “wild mix of Born of Osiris, Fallujah and Make Them Suffer.” Frontman Brian Wille’s switch between clean vocals and screams is also a defining element of the band’s style. Having toured with major acts like August Burns Red, Parkway Drive and Fit For A King, Currents are known for their intense live performances and honest, often existential lyrics. In January 2026, they released their new EP All That Follows. “These are some of our favorite songs we’ve ever written and the beginning of a new chapter for us. We followed our instincts and stayed true to what we really wanted. These songs are an exercise in independence, experimentation and collaboration within the band on a level we hadn’t explored before,” says Brian Wille. “Here, we explore disillusionment, inequality, betrayal and the ambiguity of life and its meaning. This world can be both a wonderful and a terrible place. Whether good or bad, we pour all of these experiences into our music. Even if the result isn’t always a happy story, it’s always a positive and liberating experience to share it with you.”
CASKETS: The English city of Leeds is home to Caskets, who have made a strong impact in the post-hardcore scene since forming in 2018 with three albums to date. Their songs – blending melody with heaviness, catchiness with epic scope, and alternative metal with post-hardcore – are tailor-made for big stages. After a sold-out tour across Europe and the UK in early 2025, followed by an extensive US tour supporting Memphis May Fire, Caskets return with eleven new tracks filled with crushing riffs and soaring melodies. The album represents a natural evolution of the band’s sound and reflects their artistic growth and maturity. Following the departure of founding member Christopher McIntosh, the new album The Only Heaven You’ll Know was recorded for the first time as a four-piece, consisting of Matt Flood (vocals), Benji Wilson (guitar), Craig Robinson (guitar) and James Lazenby (drums). The result speaks for itself. Morecore.de writes: “The production of The Only Heaven You’ll Know sounds thoroughly like 2025 metalcore: massive vocals, thick guitars and cinematic synth layers. Technically beyond reproach.”
AVIANA: Hailing from Gothenburg, Aviana have established themselves as one of Europe’s heaviest and most innovative metalcore bands. In 2022, they released the album Corporation, combining cinematic soundscapes with brutal riffs and raw emotion, marking a darker and more ambitious phase for the band. Line-up changes followed, transforming the project from a traditional five-piece into the creative vision of vocalist Joel Holmqvist. Live, he is now joined by a masked collective whose identities remain hidden. With singles like “Delirium,” “Father,” “Storm,” “Ablaze” and “Evermore,” the foundation was laid for their next album, continuing the band’s intense, atmospheric and uncompromising energy. With Void, Aviana once again push genre boundaries and cement their place among the heavyweights of modern metalcore. Metalcore.de states: “The album is bursting with relentless energy, manifested in a masterful blend of ferocious shouts, haunting clean vocals and razor-sharp instrumentation. From the very beginning, it’s clear: this is an uncompromising statement that delivers both extreme heaviness and surprising harmonic depth.” With Void, Aviana have created a standout record that will impress not only die-hard fans.
