NEW ALBUM – OLD RAGE

NY hardcore legends Pro-Pain are back with a vengeance. For the band’s 35th anniversary, guitarist Eric Klinger has returned, and with Stone Cold Anger, there’s finally new Pro-Pain material again. The massive new record proves that the band around singer/bassist Gary Meskil hasn’t lost any of their original power or the relentless fury of their early days.

Outdoing yourself with every new album is probably the biggest challenge for any band – especially after eleven years without a release and a predecessor that already hit hard. To achieve this ambitious goal, Pro-Pain brought back their former guitarist Eric Klinger. And the two advance singles from the new album Stone Cold Anger (release: May 15, 2026) have already shown that Pro-Pain have nothing to fear when it comes to their reputation as a standout act in the New York hardcore scene. Since their groundbreaking debut Foul Taste Of Freedom, which was nominated for several awards in the early ’90s, the uncompromising band led by founder Gary Meskil has earned the respect and loyalty of countless fans worldwide and is rightly considered a true hardcore metal legend. Every album is hard to surpass in terms of intensity, inspiration and honesty – and the latest one is no exception. After a long break, the hardcore heavyweights return loud and clear with album number 16. Making their label debut on Napalm Records, the scene icons show their most explosive side yet: Stone Cold Anger lives up to its name – furious and crushingly heavy. Pro-Pain haven’t lost any of their strength. With exceptional catchiness, the new album combines gripping melodies with both aggressive, inciting vocals and anthemic passages, making the new songs worthy successors to the 3.5-million-streamed hit “Voice Of Rebellion” (2015). The long-awaited album kicks off with the hard-hitting “Oceans Of Blood,” an energetic track that immediately proves Pro-Pain are still unstoppable after three and a half decades. Gary Meskil and his bandmates remain idealists – musically and politically – who haven’t deviated one bit from their uncompromising stance. These and many other qualities will be brought to our Z7 stage as part of the 35th Anniversary Tour 2026.
