SCHANDMAUL SET SAIL AGAIN

After five long years of calm seas, it’s finally time once more to set sail. Schandmaul return to the big stage with their new album Sternensegler, bringing their unmistakable blend of folk, rock and storytelling magic to Z7. On 05 March 2027, the band invites its loyal followers to embark together on a new musical voyage. Opening the evening and setting the first course are the Franconian folk rockers Gossenpoeten, who will deliver the opening chapter of the night.

Originally conceived as a musical signal of departure after a prolonged dry spell, Sternensegler (release planned for mid-2026) marks the beginning of a fresh new era for the Munich-based folk rockers. The seven-piece band appears more united than ever, boldly taking the next step in their evolution. With a new record that combines catchy melodies, poetic lyrics and rich, evocative soundscapes, Schandmaul expand their familiar sound with new facets – without losing sight of their roots. Led by bandleader Thomas Lindner, who confidently switches between guitar and keyboards, the line-up has recently been strengthened by new frontman Till Herence. With his distinctive voice and fresh energy, he adds an extra spark on stage, as the band sets course as a tightly knit crew towards a new chapter. Together, they invite their audience to cast everyday life overboard and sail with them through stories, myths and adventures – true to the Schandmaul magic that has been moving hearts and legs for years.

Gossenpoeten: The “friendly drinking companions from their Franconian homeland” have been roaming club and festival stages all across Germany for more than seven years. With their debut album Nah am Folk (2018) and its successor Tavernentempler (2020), Gossenpoeten made a steep and charming entry into the folk scene. The band – consisting of the four members Darian der Dichter, der Wandervogel, Fynn der Vagabund and die Füchsin – expanded its ranks in 2023 with Herr Frischbier, whose rough drums added a harder edge to their feel-good folk sound. Since 6 October 2023, they’ve been blasting their third release Weltenbummler straight into your ears. Inspired by world events, tour experiences and a longing for the sea, the new album shows great diversity.
