CCR HITS & PETTY GEMS
The brilliant CCR tribute band Creedence Clearwater Review returns to Pratteln in December 2025. The Green River Tour brings a long-awaited reunion with the songs from Creedence Clearwater Revival’s first number-one album, along with many other timeless classics from the band led by songwriting genius John Fogerty. This roots rock and Americana evening will be opened by Swiss band Echo – A Tribute To Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
With sold-out shows all around the world – including a short residency in sunny Bahrain – Creedence Clearwater Review has firmly established itself among die-hard fans as the definitive number one Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute act. After years of touring that cemented their reputation as the most authentic, honest and powerful homage to CCR and John Fogerty, the Review now sets out on The Green River tour, celebrating the US number-one album from 1969. The record includes CCR’s biggest hit Bad Moon Rising, which reached number two on the US singles chart and even topped the UK charts. The title track also climbed to number two in the United States. Thanks largely to these two songs, Green River has been described by critics as the musical core of the CCR sound. On the current tour, the tribute band performs the album in full. The two-hour show naturally also features many more evergreen classics from the band’s rich catalogue. Between 1968 and 1972, CCR delivered an almost unbelievable run of hits and rose to become one of the biggest bands in the USA. In addition to the songs already mentioned, classics such as Proud Mary, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Fortunate Son, Up Around The Bend, Born On The Bayou and Down On The Corner create a warm sense of nostalgia. The Review also presents new interpretations of iconic CCR adaptations like I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Suzie Q and I Put A Spell On You.
Echo:
With the project Echo – A Tribute To Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, seven Swiss musicians celebrate the life and work of Tom Petty. Musically and visually, they leave nothing to be desired. Hits such as Free Fallin’, Learning To Fly and I Won’t Back Down, along with carefully selected album tracks, take the audience on a wonderful journey through Tom Petty’s catalogue. These timeless songs capture a feeling of freedom, ease and carefree spirit. This exact feeling accompanied friends Toby and Andy during a road trip through California in 2011. Every day, Petty’s songs poured out of the car radio, providing the perfect soundtrack to their journey. When Petty and his Heartbreakers next toured Europe, Toby and Andy travelled to Mannheim for a show – a truly unforgettable experience. Their love for Petty’s music grew even stronger after the concert, and the idea of forming a tribute band was born. When Tom Petty passed away unexpectedly in October 2017, the two decided to finally bring their long-held idea to life. One year later, Echo – A Tribute To Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers was born. Since 2018, Echo have been conveying the indescribable feeling of a Tom Petty live show to fans, with great attention to detail.
