HEROES & HYMNS: 10 YEARS OF DARTAGNAN

On 13 November, it’s once again full-throttle folk rock power at Z7 – complete with cloaks, rapiers, gunpowder smoke and rolling thunder. The musketeer rockers dArtagnan celebrate the first decade of their remarkable career with the Heroes & Hymns – Anniversary Tour 2026. Supporting the night are the folk metal pirates Storm Seeker and the folk punk roughnecks Doppelbock.

The three friends Ben Metzner, Tim Bernhard and Gustavo Strauss from Nuremberg – better known as dArtagnan – confidently describe their rousing folk-rock sing-along sound as Musketeer Rock. What does that sound like? “Many of our songs are closely intertwined with traditionals, with melodies that echoed through the streets hundreds of years ago. And yet our music still fits perfectly into the modern age.” Since 2015, dArtagnan have been winning hearts with their hits, storming the charts and collecting numerous awards. On the upcoming tour, the band looks back on its journey so far: “Friends, companions, musketeers. It’s hard to believe – for ten years now we’ve been roaming the lands with our songs. A whole decade full of adventures, unforgettable concerts, sweat, tears – and above all: endless friendship. In 2026, our first gold-certified album Seit an Seit celebrates its tenth anniversary, and we want to celebrate this milestone with you twice over. After the overwhelming response to our Heldenfest in Wuppertal, we spontaneously decided to add a full anniversary tour. In 13 selected cities across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we want to raise a glass with you to everything that was, everything that is and everything yet to come.” The greatest musical moments from a decade of dArtagnan will be celebrated just as much as life itself and the love of music. And of course, dArtagnan will also bring along a few new surprises to make these evenings truly special. “This is our thank-you to you. To the loyal friends who have been with us for years and without whom none of this would have been possible. So raise your glasses, warm up your voices and sharpen your swords: heroes, sing the hymns with us – and celebrate ten years of dArtagnan on the Heroes & Hymns tour.”

Storm Seeker: Anyone who signs on with Storm Seeker need fear neither death nor ghostly sailors. Either you withstand the irresistible current of multi-part choirs, hard guitar riffs and the mesmerizing sounds of hurdy-gurdy and flutes – or you’re mercilessly washed overboard. Life between hammocks and rum barrels on the lower decks is as unpredictable and rough as it is free and full of adventure. And that makes it a perfect fit for Sean Graham. With a voice that is both powerful and emotional, the frontman sets the course for the five-piece Nautic Force: “Anyone with even a hint of a taste for sea shanties, adventure and the tales of the rugged North can look forward to everything our shared future holds,” promises the new singer. “Set the sails!” is the order of the day – and Set The Sails is also the first single recorded with the new vocalist. The song sets the stage for stories as old as seafaring itself: of departure, adventure and hardship. The beginning of a journey that demands courage and promises freedom.

Doppelbock: Somewhere between folk punk, mopeds and pub-poetry, the five musicians of Doppelbock from Gelnhausen, Hesse, have carved out their own space. While many of their songs come with a healthy dose of self-irony, they never shy away from more serious themes. The band skillfully bridges the gap between classic punk anthems and folk ballads with subtle social commentary, without drifting too far apart musically. Following their 2021 debut So schön and several single releases, they raised the bar once again in summer 2025 with Zu jung für Nostalgie. Whether club show or festival stage, Doppelbock are guaranteed to deliver an electrifying live atmosphere, having already shared the stage with bands such as Doro, Versengold, Schandmaul, Paddyhats, Warkings, Kärbholz, Oomph and many more.
