COOLER THAN THE POLICE ALLOW
The Fun Lovin’ Criminals are back! With their irresistibly cool attitude and a unique blend of rock, hip hop, Latin, jazz, blues, soul and funk, the New York outfit captured the hearts of both hip culture aficionados and easy-listening fans in the mid-1990s. On November 14, the Fun Lovin’ Criminals will present their long-awaited new album A Matter Of Time (release: August 29) live at Z7.
Formed in New York in 1993, the Fun Lovin’ Criminals are one of the most enduring bands to emerge from the 1990s melting pot of pop culture and diverse genres. With their admirable coolness and unmistakable stylistic mix, they continue to captivate fans all over the world. The band rightly enjoys a reputation as an irresistible live act. Their ever-evolving, electrifying shows repeatedly thrill audiences with a well-balanced mix of new material, deep cuts and classics such as the hit Scooby Snacks – a homage to soul superstar Barry White, who himself is a well-known fan of the song. For more than three decades, the band’s unmistakable sound has won over countless loyal fans and critics worldwide. Founding member, multi-instrumentalist, lead singer and producer Brian “Fast” Leiser, drummer and producer Frank “The Rhythm Master” Benbini, and guitarist Naim Cortazzi are currently putting the finishing touches on their new album A Matter Of Time. The latest studio release, which fans have been waiting a full 15 years for, is being created in collaboration with multi-Grammy-winning and multi-platinum sound engineer Tim Latham (Black Eyed Peas, Lou Reed, Erykah Badu, Orishas, Britney Spears and many more). A Matter Of Time will be released on August 29, 2025, and will then be presented live for the first time on an extensive world tour.
