What would December at Z7 be without live/wire? Year after year, Europe’s best AC/DC tribute band delivers electrifying energy to close out the year – a tradition that continues this winter. On December 18 and 19, the five passionate rockers return to Pratteln’s rock temple to unleash two nights of explosive hits from the Australian rock giants – complete with hell’s bells, bagpipes and the thunderous roar of cannons. Just as it should be: Let There Be Rock!

For more than five decades, the name AC/DC has stood for uncompromising hard rock and legendary live shows. More than 200 million records sold and countless sold-out arena tours speak for themselves. More than 20 years ago, the Basel-area tribute bands Riff Raff and Jailbreak joined forces to form live/wire – and since then they have become arguably the most authentic AC/DC tribute act Europe has to offer. With incredible joy of playing and a show perfected down to the smallest detail, the five musicians send audiences into ecstasy night after night. Singer Däny comes astonishingly close to Brian Johnson with his voice, facial expressions and trademark cap – you could almost believe the original is standing on stage. Guitarist Cello hits every note like Angus Young and storms across the stage in a school uniform as if he had never done anything else. Adi delivers the unmistakable, stripped-down Malcolm groove on his Gretsch, while Ronny pounds the drums in true Phil Rudd style. The sound is completed by Beat, whose four strings lay down the solid foundation in the spirit of Cliff Williams. Since their debut in autumn 2002, the band has constantly evolved and now performs more than 50 songs spanning four and a half decades of AC/DC history. The sound is authentic, the show packed with energy – and together, live/wire bring the spirit of AC/DC to life on an entirely new level with every performance.
