When the engines roar at Z7, one thing is certain: it’s time for high-voltage rock ’n’ roll. Once again this year, Europe’s most powerful AC/DC tribute show returns – with a new motto that rumbles deeper than any V8: CVR/UP, the “cover-up” version of the high-energy AC/DC comeback PWR/UP. Two nights packed with hits, adrenaline and red-hot stage power are coming up. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines and ride down to Z7.

When AC/DC stormed back onto the stage and into the charts with PWR/UP in 2020, it felt like firing up a massive engine once again: familiar, powerful, uncompromising. The riffs came from Malcolm Young’s archives, the sound was classic yet fresh – a true restart driven by pure hard rock energy. This very feeling is captured by this year’s CVR/UP motto. A rocking turbo that reignites the spirit of AC/DC and delivers it to Pratteln with full force.

For more than five decades, AC/DC have shaped the international rock landscape – with songs everyone knows and shows no one ever forgets. And for over 20 years, the Basel-based tribute band live/wire have ensured that this myth lives on in our region as well. Born from the cover bands Riff Raff and Jailbreak, the five musicians have long since secured their place in the tribute universe. With a show polished down to the smallest detail and a dedication that can’t be faked, they bring pure high voltage to the stage night after night.

Vocalist Däny delivers the tone, expression and energy of Brian Johnson with astonishing authenticity. Cello channels Angus Young’s iconic performance with Gibson SG and school uniform. Adi lays down the unmistakable Malcolm groove beneath every riff, Ronny keeps the thunderous drums on track, and Beat provides the solid low end in the spirit of Cliff Williams. More than 50 songs spanning four and a half decades of AC/DC history are locked and loaded – from High Voltage to Thunderstruck.
