GERMAN METAL ATTACK 2027: LEGENDS NEVER DIE

The great Teutonic metal parade is rolling in. Led by Ruhr area legends Grave Digger, a massive, loud and uncompromising metal package will hit Pratteln in January 2027. Joining as special guests are Motorjesus with their high-octane metal assault. Kicking things off are Warwolf, delivering crushing riffs and a manic double-bass inferno.

Steel is forged once again. In 2027, German heavy metal returns to Europe’s stages with full force. Under the banner Legends Never Die, three powerful forces unite to form a package that will make metal hearts beat faster. At the center stand cult icons Grave Digger. With groundbreaking albums and unmistakable hymns, Grave Digger have been among the most influential bands of the German metal scene since the early 1980s. And even after more than four and a half decades in this relentless business, there is not the slightest sign of fatigue. Chris Boltendahl, Jens Becker, Marcus Kniep and Tobias Kersting remain a serious force on stage and continue to release high-quality albums at regular intervals. With Bone Collector, released in January 2025, Grave Digger presented the first album of their career entirely without keyboard passages. With new axeman Tobias Kersting, the band reconnects with long-forgotten trademarks. Raw, brutal, honest and yet instantly catchy, songs like “Bone Collector” or “Made Of Madness” thunder from the speakers. The album stands as a manifesto of German heavy metal – pure old school, free of rust and patina, always authentic. Rarely have the band sounded as versatile, energetic, fresh and multifaceted as on this release. For the German Metal Attack, Grave Digger will deliver a classic set spanning over four decades of band history, combined with hard-hitting new material, once again proving that true legends never die. Timeless classics such as “Heavy Metal Breakdown”, “Rebellion” or “Excalibur” collide with brand-new thunderous anthems, creating an explosive mix of past and future.

Motorjesus: As special guests, Motorjesus turn up the heat with their driving high-octane metal – an explosive blend of metal, rock ’n’ roll and gasoline in the veins. Anyone who has seen them live knows: this is full throttle, no compromises! In the summer of 2025, the band from Mönchengladbach roared back with Streets of Fire. Their eighth studio album takes their unmistakable heavy rock to a whole new level. They deliver, full force, a mix of Motörhead-infused grit rock, anthemic 1980s metal in the vein of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and a healthy dose of punk attitude. The result is an uncompromising heavy rock firestorm that sweeps along longtime fans and newcomers alike. With the tank filled to the brim, Motorjesus slam the pedal to the metal. Following their previous album Hellbreaker, which reached number 20 in the German album charts and secured the band appearances at Summer Breeze, Rock Hard Festival and many other major stages, Streets of Fire raises the bar even higher. The album overflows with powerful anthems made for singing along and raising fists. This time deliberately without ballads, but with even more speed, groove and driving riffs that instantly stick in your head. With their unmistakable sound, Motorjesus once again prove that they rank among Germany’s most consistent and powerful heavy rock bands.

Warwolf: Opening this scorching metal night are merciless riffs and double-bass attacks straight from hell. NWOBHM meets Teutonic steel. Warwolf return with their third album, The Final Battle, featuring Maiden-esque influences with a Teutonic edge – this time even rawer and more honest. A no-bullshit approach with a gritty live sound. The album was once again produced, mixed and mastered by Grave Digger vocalist Chris Boltendahl at the Graveyard Studio in Cologne. Listening through Warwolf’s albums chronologically, their evolution from release to release is unmistakable. The band has grown ever tighter, matured like fine wine over time and developed a strong identity of its own. Vocalist Andreas von Lipinski continues to step out of the shadow of his mighty influences, becoming an increasingly charismatic and independent frontman. The album convinces with a powerful blend of classic and modern metal elements: thunderous guitar riffs meet striking vocals, while unbridled energy runs through every track. We’re looking forward to Warwolf highlights from all three albums and a powerhouse live performance – dark, raw and wild!
