MONGOLIAN METAL MASTERS

Heavy guitars paired with ancient Mongolian instruments and vocal techniques form an exotic yet gripping sound on Uuhai’s debut album “Human Herds”. After their convincing performance on the “Motocultor Tour 2026”, the musicians from the metropolis of Ulaanbaatar return to our hall as radiant headliners.

With bands such as The Hu and Nine Treasures, Mongolian rock music has experienced a striking upswing in recent years. The rising stars Uuhai also give the Mongolian steppe a new, captivating soundtrack with their blend of traditional horsehead fiddles, heavy metal guitars and distinctive throat singing. After their first music videos had already racked up millions of views, the seven-piece band released their debut album “Human Herds” via Napalm Records in January 2026. With imposing stories about Mongolia’s awe-inspiring nature, Uuhai present themselves as attentive guides through their homeland, skilfully moving between its cultural roots and modern society.
On stage, the band offers an experience of a very special kind. The indelible impression they leave on everyone who has already had the privilege of seeing them live makes them powerful ambassadors for Mongolia. Their remarkable triumphal march through Europe began in 2023 with a fulminant festival tour that brought together around 200,000 spectators at renowned events such as Bloodstock, Motocultor, Leyendas Del Rock and Rock Castle. Their fascinating stage presence and revolutionary music held the crowds spellbound. With another European tour, Uuhai continued their meteoric rise in 2024. A major milestone was their appearance at the prestigious Hellfest Open Air, underlining their growing recognition among metal audiences.
About their last visit to us at Z7 in January 2026 as part of the “Motocultor Tour”, Diebuehrers.com wrote: “Mongolian throat singing, traditional instruments and heavy metal riffs merged into a sound that was instantly captivating. The band radiated enormous joy in playing, moved constantly, sought closeness to the audience and gradually drew the hall under their spell. Songs like ‘Ancient Land’ and ‘Khar Khulz’ developed a hypnotic pull that hardly anyone could resist.
