EXCLUSIVE HEADLINER SHOW: HAMMERFALL AT Z7

Swedish true metal heroes HammerFall are coming back to Z7 at the start of 2026! Before the “Wake Up The Wicked Tour” supporting Powerwolf, the Swedes will be playing a few exclusive headline shows. Of course, a gig in Pratteln is a must. We’re looking forward to it when, after six long years at Z7, it’s finally time to say: Let The Hammer Fall!

With their latest album “Avenge The Fallen” (2024), HammerFall have once again proven that they are far from being old metal. Third place in Germany, second place in Switzerland and the top position in the Swedish album charts speak for themselves. “Avenge the Fallen” is the 13th studio album by the band, whose debut “Glory To The Brave” in 1997 triggered a veritable new wave of true metal. Since then, they have been at the forefront of this movement, which draws on genre attributes such as epicness, melody and power. “Avenge The Fallen” is a classically strong HammerFall album. Guitarist and founding member Oscar Dronjak is not stingy with powerful riffs and infectious melodies. While singer Joacim Cans still hits every note perfectly, no matter how high, and leads the choruses, which have now become a cherished tradition. Cans, who has been swinging the hammer with the successful Gothenburg metal band for 30 years now, knows why HammerFall are still motivated to give their best even after such a long time: “We’ve always asked ourselves: do we want to be a band that only releases new music to go on tour again, or do we want to keep pushing ourselves and challenging ourselves?” The answer is clear: “Even in times when people’s attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, we haven’t stopped thinking in terms of complete albums. A few good songs don’t make a strong album. A strong album should be a collection of great songs and that’s what we wanted to deliver with ‘Avenge The Fallen'”. The Swedes have definitely succeeded. As always, the live performance on the subsequent world tour also left nothing to be desired. And now, in January 2026, we will be able to enjoy one of the very few selected headlining shows before HammerFall tour Europe as the very special guest of their colleagues from Powerwolf. An exclusive show at which we can celebrate 33 years of HammerFall after a six-year absence at Z7. We’ll treat ourselves to a schnapps: Skål!
