Ten Years After & Canned Heat

Original Woodstock Legends

LIVE, LOUD AND LEGENDARY

Two great names in rock and blues history come together for an electrifying concert evening: Canned Heat and Ten Years After bring the sound of the Woodstock era to the stage with infectious enthusiasm, outstanding musicianship and unforgettable hits. Immerse yourself in the spirit of 1969, travel back to the “Three Days of Peace & Music” and enjoy timeless classics, rare gems and pure rock’n’roll at Z7.

Since their formation in 1965, Canned Heat have stood for infectious boogie blues and iconic rock classics such as “On the Road Again”, “Going Up the Country” and “Let’s Work Together”. The band secured their place in music history with performances at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and as headliners at the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969. Led by drummer and bandleader Adolfo “Fito” de la Parra, the group continues to impress with an outstanding line-up: alongside singer, guitarist and harmonica player Dale Spalding, bassist Rick Reed and guitarist and vocalist Jimmy Vivino bring fresh musical energy to the band. In 2024, Canned Heat released “Finyl Vinyl”, their first studio album in 15 years. Germany’s Good Times magazine wrote: “When it says Canned Heat on the cover, you get Canned Heat inside. And ‘Finyl Vinyl’ is tremendous fun, even when played on a CD player.” The musicians are equally convincing on stage. Canned Heat are one of the few Woodstock bands to have remained faithful to their musical roots. These blues and boogie legends are living proof that honest, handmade music straight from the heart never goes out of style.

Ten Years After: Some bands only need to have their name mentioned to bring a sparkle to their fans’ eyes. Ten Years After are definitely one of them. Their style is unique and their sound absolutely unmistakable. And even after six decades in the business, they have hardly lost any of their youthful energy. In 2027, the English blues rock legends return to Pratteln with timeless hits such as “Love Like A Man”, “Going Home” and “I’d Love To Change The World”, once again celebrating the sound that made them immortal, particularly after their appearance at the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Ten Years After’s 90-minute performance at this historic musical event even overshadowed Jimi Hendrix’s appearance and turned the band into stars overnight. Drummer Ric Lee, co-founder and bandleader, still leads the group today. Together with guitarist and vocalist Sam C. Lees, bassist and vocalist Craig Fletcher, and keyboardist and violinist Dave Burgoyne, he brings the great classics back to the stage. The opportunity to experience Ten Years After live is one not to be missed. After all, chances to watch living legends of rock history perform up close are becoming increasingly rare.
