Augusta Raurica – Live In Concert
ROCKING THE ROMAN THEATRE
The Roman Theatre of Augusta Raurica is the best-preserved ancient open-air theatre north of the Alps and has been a Z7 concert venue for many years. In 2014, Swiss Pink Floyd tribute band Crazy Diamond delivered one of the most impressive concert experiences ever staged here, followed by performances from artists such as Tangerine Dream, Nena, Mike & The Mechanics, Nick Mason and Beth Hart. Anyone who has experienced a concert in this 1,600-seat semicircular arena knows the unique atmosphere of this historic setting. In 2026, Z7 returns and presents Augusta Raurica – Live in Concert with Crazy Diamond, Apocalyptica and Eluveitie as top-tier headliners.
Crazy Diamond – The Pink Floyd Tribute
We’re celebrating 25 years of Crazy Diamond! “Run, run, run, run – you better run!” Since their formation in 2001, Crazy Diamond have been rocking stages all across Switzerland. “Year after year, running over the same old ground.” More than a hundred thousand fans have experienced the band live over the years. Performing the unique music of Pink Floyd is one thing – adding that special extra touch to the sound is another. Time and again, the musicians strike exactly the right chord. Powerful, intense and massive, the songs are delivered with a distinct personal edge. These are the perfect ingredients to take the audience on a journey through time, spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s. From the very first single “Arnold Layne” to later highlights like “High Hopes”, from classics such as “Another Brick In The Wall” and “The Great Gig In The Sky” to rarities like “Sheep” or “Careful With That Axe Eugene” – Crazy Diamond give everything they have in every single song to captivate the audience with an unforgettable show. The bombastic sound is further enhanced by stunning visual effects that put everything in the perfect light. To truly understand why they’ve been hailed as “one of the best Pink Floyd tribute bands”, you simply have to experience Crazy Diamond live – ideally in the unique atmosphere of the theatre at Augusta Raurica, where the band already delivered two magnificent shows back in 2014, inspired by Pink Floyd’s Live At Pompeii.
